Is this a code??
OK so I've tried the thing where you hold the trip button in & turn the key to on.
The dials all go ticking through their full range of motion & all dash lights are lite.
Once this completes, my odometer reads "C-Code"
The few times I've tried it after it reads C-Code it displays 00 00.
Tonight I did it & now it reads C-Code, then 21 16 then 00 00.
Now here's were it gets really weird. Everytime I do it the 21 16 number changes.
I've gotton
21 16
21 18
21 20
21 19
21 05
These numbers don't flash at once, it's when I turn off & try again.
Does anyone know what's happening??
I looked at the code chart & can't seem to find anything relevent to these numbers.

I should also mention that the truck has no issues that I can tell.
Thanks
Sean

Yep, Those are DTC codes. the 2116 deals with the" accelerator pedal position sensor 2 minimum stop position performance" 2118--"electronic throttle control motor circuit"
2105, 2119, 2120 have no explanation the codes aren't listed. This is from the 2005 FSM

Those are NOT regular DTC codes. They are Instrument Cluster codes. Meaning something in the instrument cluster is not happy.
The first number, 21 indicates the problem. The second number indicates the amount of key cycles since it happened.
You really need to use a code reader of scanner to get the proper codes.

actually, the last two numbers of the code are how many times you have turned the truck on since the code has shown up. Thats why they keep going up. The first code (21) isn't listed in the 04 manual so I can't help you to tell you what it is. You only have one code going off and it usually is something like a interior switch didn't work right once. I'll try to dig into more on the C code and figure out what it is for ya.
Oh and for future reference, you can get the full service manual at http://www.hemitruckclub.com and the C-Codes start on page 8J-12 or page 521 of the PDF.
