I've been seeing alot of messages talking about a 6.1 cam swap in the 5.7. But I'm just curious, anyone swap a 6.1 engine into a Ram yet? Anyone plan to?

I think the HEMISHOP has done one or two 6.1L swaps... they also build some CRAZY engines. Not the nicest people in the world but they build some bad *** HEMI STROKER engines.

what would really be SICK is the drive train from the jeep srt-8 in a 1500....then add the power.

That's what is in an SRT-8 Jeep...a 6.1, in fact a slightly DETUNED 6.1 (means less horsepower...). Personally I'd get one from a Charger then play with it.

what about the rumored 6.4? anybody hear anything about those? I wouldn't mind waiting a little while if I could get my hands on a 6.4 in a year or two

I want to swap a 6.1 into my truck when she has alot of miles on her then swap the 5.7 into my 98 that i'm turning into a rock crawler. that will be sweet.

There are several 6.1 swaps currently runing and even a few 6.4(392), 6.8(413) and 7.0(426) swaps. I have a turbocharged 6.8(413) and will be switching to the diesel tranny soon.
