Different Size Spare - issues?

I look at this way...

If you have an LSD and/or need to use 4whl Drive and you get a flat, is the amount you are saving and getting a matching spare worth the cost (in terms of time and money) for replacing a Front or Rear diff. Sometimes a difference in a few millimeters in height can cause a problem, and sometimes not.

IMO, I always get a matching set of tires (including the spare) if my vehicle is a 4wh drive and/or has LSD.

Agreed. And don't forget. If you can't afford a completely matching tire, then ask the tire dealer if they have a used tire of the same size. At least then you have something better than your stock size spare.
