Default looking for tailgate

Mine was stolen today around lunch time, not sure if I can claim it on insurance or just find one used. I guess it depends on if I have to pay the deductable or not.

Sorry to hear about the tailgate theft; hope the insurance takes care of the whole thing. Actually Dodge should furnish you another one or at least cover the deductible simply because they don't at least offer a locking option. I bought the fully loaded Laramie with every check-off option they offer and still no lock - go figure??? So I bought and installed the aftermarket Pop Lock / suggest you do the same on the new tailgate.

This affords you a whole new opportunity, you can now go buy one of those tire rack gates for your truck. they look real killer and you dont have to worry bout gettin under your truck to get the spare out.

Only problem is there about 800 dollars i think, im not sure but i think thats what they were when i looked last...

I have no idea what is going to happen yet. I will contact AAA on Monday, but it may be easier just to buy a used one and paint it.
My truck is a 2005 1500 4x4 4dr which I really enjoy but I do plan on stepping up a few years this summer.
