Default block heater 2006 mega cab ctd

the manual says to see dealer for plug if its not on truck and that heater is stock on the motor Can I assume buy it? how hard is it to install wiring and were is heater on block

The diesel engine has the block heater located on the right side of the engine below the exhaust manifold next to the oil cooler (1). Part number for the cord is 5086737AB. Cost about $45.00 @ dealer. They no longer put the cord on the engine, but the heater is already on all diesels. See pic below, the heater has a black cap on it . Hope this helps

Hey Parts/Service. Is a block heater available for the hemi? I will be taking a few trips to northern Canada this winter and it gets cold there. Last year the hemi didn't sound too happy first thing in the morning on startup.
