i recently bought a new 18" chrome exhaust tip which must be welded on. Wat do u think is the best way to install this, the directions say to originally measure the length of the new tip over the original then cut it so about 2 inches remain, and slide into the new tip. then it says to cut the new tip along the tappered end to make a snug fit n weld it?

does this sound right? and how much would it cost to get it installed at a professional place?

Also i bought new neon bolts for my lisecense plates.. are these LEDS illegal in Ny or NJ , they replace the liscense plate bolts with bolts with LEDs that i have to wire to the tailgate

 

All you really need to do is slid the tip over the exaust pipe and see where you like it. Once you have where you are going to put the tip cut about an inch infront of where you are going to weld, but MAKE SURE you like where its going to be befor you cut. Measure twice cut once!
