Last night while I was out I was out I heard this chimming sound in my dash, A light came on and said Check lighting.I did and found nothing. Any ideas. It did this for a couple of minutes then stopped. Nothing today. any Ideas. ?

 

Somebody else just recently posted on this as well; it seems to be fairly common. The two possible answers I have heard of are 1) one of the metal connectors in one of the lights gets deformed, and no longer makes good contact, or 2) one of the lights is about to go, and the computer can detect the change in resistance along the circuit. Hope one of these leads you in the right direction.

I've had this happen to me as well about three months ago. It's never happened since. I changed the headlights and taillights to aftermarket (rear L.E.D.s) before this, so my lights are definitely not about to go. I've heard a bunch of people complain about the same thing.

Jeff17 had the same problems. He fixed his by taking out the bulbs, and reinserting them. Don't forget the silicon gel also.

 

I had a brake light out. Hard to find that one without a buddy to help you make your walk-around. Had another that turned out to be the light in the engine compartment.
