Default Dodge 2005 1500 4x4 Lift Kits

I've been looking at adding a lift to my truck. I heard some bad things from many offroad shops about the ride quality (rattling etc.) after lift kits had been installed. Does anyone personally know what is the best brand they heard/experienced for this year truck, or which one I should stay away from? One place even told me they would suggest just adding a 2" leveler, versus a lift kit. Another store suggested a Rancho lift versus a Procomp (I'm sure the fact that the price for the Rancho kit is more than double the Pro Comp price plays in.)

Well I dont have a 4x4, but have a 2wd with a 6" lift kit, and have owned 4x4's in the past. What I can tell you from my experiance is... The Dodge is a very smooth, well handling full size truck, when I added the Lift kit, it was a BIG very smooth, well handling lifted full size truck. It handles better, and is smoother than my stock 4x4 F150. It does ride a bit stiffer than stock, but is not unfomfortable, and mine doesn't rattle, maybe the 60's bronco's rattled when you lifted them, or the old Power Wagons, but a 2005 Ram better not rattle with or without the lift.

I would either go with skyjacker or fabtech. both are good, but the skyjacker is going to eat a hole through your wallet!
