We have salt where I live (upstate NY), the westins were the black powdercaoted ones. They were expensive and had significant rust on them after 4 years or so...fell off after 8 years.
I have the factory stainless nerfs on mine and my LOVES them. I thought at first the plastic ends looked dumb, but then realized that because they are plastic, the rocks don't chip them up.
