Shifter Cable???
OK, here's the history.
About 8 months ago (10K miles) at 49K miles Dodge re-built my tranny. Since it was outof warranty, I had to pay a $500 "co-pay"....which is a lot betterthan $2500...
Anyways, it started doing the same thing again (not downshifting into 1st gear when coming to a stop and then starting in 2nd) so I brought it back to the dealer before the 12mo.16K Mi expired. Yesterday, they checked the codes(none) and also did pressure reading(s) on the tranny and found nothing. They said they would have to check the pressures cold to be sure, but they thought there was nothing wrong with it yesterday.
Well, this am they call and tellme thatit was the "shifter cable" and that it needed to be adjusted.
Now, that sounds like they are giving me a line. Does this sound right to you guys? Of course, if the thing starts shifting better, I'll be happy and wont really care.
