07 or 08 2500 4x4 hemi
Just want to know if anyone out there has heard if DC will be puting a bigger Hemi in the 2500 ram. I can turn my truck in know and get a great deal on a 07 2500 4x4 6spd Hemi. Just want to know if its worth waiting.
The 2500 6sp 5.7 is awsome. Thier not a drag racer, due to the gearing in the six speed, but thier still quick for a power house work truck.
I own a 06 2500 Reg canb 4x4 SLT with the 6sp and 5.7 and thiers nothing wrong with this set up and my truck is awsome for power/gas milage for a 3/4 ton gas powerd truck.
Thiers allway's going to be bigger/better in later model truck's, it's evoultion, and if you need a truck now and the price is right, don't for a moment shy a way from the 07.
I wish Dodge had the hemi and six speed in the 1500 Ram, they don't, so I went to a 2500 Ram for the power train combo, a 1500 has a better ride and handeling, so if your worried abought passenger car ride/handeling the firmer suspension may bug you out a bit.
If you need a work truck, the 2500 is a wise upgrade over a 1500 Ram.

Thanks for the info. I also wished they would have had a stick as an option in the 1500 hemi i would have bought one in a heart beat. I wish I would have bought the 2500 6spd from the begining. I tow a trailer with quads/snowmobiles (about 4000lbs total trailer wieght) allmost every weekend and the 5spd auto in my 1500 hates it. I even have the 3.92 rear with the small 17" rims. Luckely my 1500 is a lease thats allmost up. As for mpg what do you get and did you get the 3.73 or 4.10 rear.
thanks again
thanks again
I have the ltd slip 373. Lt 265 70 17 BfG RT RA. all off my driving is highway, so I went with the 373. I have no problem towing over 5000 Lbs on the recieaver hitch, I don't have a topper yet. having one a 8 ft box will drasticly cut down the wind resistance.
in 6th at 60 mph Rpms are 2000 Rpms, on the highway empty my trucks moves from 60 mph to over 90 Mph in a blink of the eye, it's to fast for a 3/4 truck to drive safely on the top end.
I have a reg cab, so a 410 in a quad cab long/short box may be more pratical for every day use if your not worried abought blistering high way speed..
If your looking at a Mega cab, go for the Cummins.
In city mpg is 12 to 14 MPG, highway at 60 MPH I have reached as high as 17 mpg empty, pretty close to hemi MDS 1500 Rams.

Thanks again for the info. I am going to get a QC most likley stickin with the 3.73. With the price of diesel dont know if its worth it and cant order a 5.9 cummins anymore only the new 6.7 and not sure of the new motor
