Im interested in buying a superchips programmer for my 03 Ram Hemi. I keep finding 2 different model #'s, 3714 and 3715. Whats the deal?

Also, my father has the same truck, 03 Hemi. Can I use the programmer on mine and then on his?

Well for the Hemi motor you would want model # 3815 Superships Flashpaq programmer. As far as using it on your truck than your dads. Well that is a negative. The only way your dad can use your programmer is if you return your truck back to stock settings then your dad can use it. I hope this helps.

You need the 3715 for the 03 model

The 3714 also works in the 03, got it on mine. It is just not quite as adjustable specificly in the tranny tuning are. The 3714 set the shift firmness and shift point for you were as you set them on the 3715.

One is strictly for the 03 hemi, the other is the previous 5.2, 5.9 and incorporates the 03 hemi (which is what I have).

 

looks like ill get the 3715. im getting ready to mount some Toyo A/T's on a set of 06 20's and im gonna get the superchips to help w/ power. i have 3:55 gears (which I hate!) and figure a little more grunt from the chip will help. also have a k&n 77 series on it and will be doing a flowmaster 50 series muffler eventually.

 

The other cool thing is that you can adjust the tire height for your speedo if necessary and still have DTC reader
