I got my baby back!!!!
For some of you that have followed along recently I threw a connecting rod in my Hemi with 52000 miles on it. Well I just got my truck back Friday afternoon with a new motor. Chrysler paid for the engine which was really nice unfortunately I have lost my comp cam and vavles that where in the old motor. I was worried if they were to look at them but as it ended up they did not. The mechanic did say that my motor looked like it was well taken care of. Which I know I do but another thing he kept hinting towards was in regards to if I had my computer programed. Since I put it back to stock settings before they got it. They couldnt say wether I did or not. So they kinda saved me. I have included a pic of what was left of my piston. So enjoy and now I get to start over on the internals all over again.

glad you got it back but i would have asked them if i could buy the old engine for parts or something. then you could move over your internals and if you wanted to you could rebuild the older engine to use in a project car or something. but glad to hear you got it back though. have you put your other mods back on it yet? like your exhuast, intake, and are you gonna use the remapped computer again or do you think thats what caused you to throw a rod?
I have put my mods back on the new motor, as far as the old motor no. when I threw a rod it went through the block. So no I did not want it. I am going to the computer but I think I may lower the rev limiter from 6300 to maybe something a little less. Not sure yet though I need to do some reasearch. Not sure what caused the meltdown so I need to play it all by ear and see.
