Default Electric Fan Mod Questions

Can someone ihelp me of the following questions please about going to an electric fan?
[ol][*]How much power can I expect to gain? I read here 8-10HP, seems impressive, is it right?[*]Any fuel economy?[*]How difficult is the mod to do?[*]How much does it cost?[*]Where do I get what I need? Fan, mounting and wiring?[*]Any good write-ups I can read up on it?[/ol]
I have an 04 QuadCab w/Hemi8 foot bed. So far bone stock except K&N drop in filter. Will need an exhaust and tires in the spring.

Thanks and Happy New Year

i noticed a bit of fuel economy improvment when i put it on my 98 ram. less parasitic mass being rotated off the front of the motor is always a good thing. it cost about $230, if i recall correctly. it wasn't very hard to hook up. i had to make xome custom mounting brackets is all.

sorry i don't know of any write ups though.

You can get a Perma-Cool kit through Summit Racing for about $550, and it supposedly includes everything you need to make it work... but if you can do it for $230, go that route I might have to try it as well if I can find a write up.

Thanks for the replies.

$550 seems pretty steep for the kit. I'll go back and see if I can find it. Not crazy about chopping up my stock shroud in the winter when I need the truck and all. Should have looked in the summer while it was still bike season.
