bohoram I understand what you are trying to say and yes I agree what you do with your money is your business. Other same side though lowering/leveling the driveline on a 4 wheel drive vehiccle is completely different than lowering/leveling a 2 wheel drive vehicle. You need to realize you have 2 drivelines to take in consideration, that are set up for that reason. Besides potentially ruining your driveline system and going through u-joints and seals in your t-case and just plain ruining it. As far as why do I build Jeeps well let me think about that I can put 2k in one and sell it for 4k. That way I can do neat stuff to my truck. I'm not saying lowering/leveling is a bad thing. What I am tryingto say and I think you missed my point, whichis please do your research before you spend or potentiallywaste your money.

i agree with you 1baddodge, i recently swapped out my auto tranny for a stick shift. i didnt do enough home work and just went with what the guys at the salvage yard told me, come to find out when i changed it the 3500 mounts were different and i broke my rear driveshaft yoke twice first time i blamed it on the small twig dcx put in there for a yoke, the second time i found out when i had the gears changed outthe guy told methe yoke was broke cause drive shaft wasnt at the right angle and the mounts were the problem this was just wasted money, as you say! its all in the home work.

Well i have a 4x4 and the reason im wanting to level it is because im big into hunting so im off road a lot.. Im wanting the clearence so i can get a bigger tire under it.. Anyone who has a 06 dodge with the chrome 20" wheels knows the factory tires suck.. I can barely take off when its raining out.. Im new to the dodge world this is my first so i will admit i dont know much about the driveline of it.. I have had other trucks lifted and leveled and never had any problems before.... It seems to me however if you lower the back end of ur truck your doin the same as leveling the front end... Your messing with the driveline....

the thread was proginally about raising the fron to level teh truck out not lower it... the second post the guy said he wanted to lower it... if you noticed -06mopar- and myself were asking about the 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kits from tuff country . i fyou noticed thosde are lifts for the front. so ANYBODY THAT HAS USED THE LEVELING KITS TO RAISE THE FRONT END? thats the qeustion is what kit seems to work the best? lol sorry guy sbut this thread kind of got highjacked and brought into a different direction i know its not mine but i was wondering teh same thing and only answers we got were for lowering kits for some reason.

I used a 2" leveling kit from ebay, and it worked great. I would however, go with the 2 1/2" spacers and a new set of shocks for it to be perfectly level.

1baddodge, you came across as slamming any 4x4 owner who wants to mod thier truck. It is all good and done.

Look boo hoo ram I WILL NOT slam anyone! Except you in this post. I was trying which it seems you completely missed my point as trying to give some money saving advice. As it was pointed out in another thread that these posts slightly went elswhere and misconstrued. Again you may not have noticed but I have Jeeps that I have done mods to. Again all I was stating is that actually lowering a 4x4 is not good for a four wheel drive vehicle. Now I misunderstood the thread because in fact they where not actually lowering the truck. Again I have not slamed anyone in this forum so unfortunately you become the first and hopefully the last I do this to. We are here on Dodge Forum to give advice if we know what we are talking about and give our expierence or just talk about our good ole Dodge's. By the way after running your suck enough what are you driving and what advice do you have to give besisdes some useless jecture?
Sincerely
Jon

go with the 2.5". my friend mike did the 2" and it isn't quite level. a lot better stance than stock but not completely what he wanted. and so you know he has the 1500 big horn edition with the 20" wheels on his rig.

Listen 1terribledodge, when I said it was all good, I thought we were done, I guess not. You did slam "all 4x4 owners" and took an "I am better than you " attitude. Many of us 4x4 owners level their 4x4's without any problems, so maybe you dont have all the most absolute advice you seem to think you have. In the perfect world nobody should ever perform any mods , dodge pays billions to engineers to create the ideal specsin assembling a vehicle. With that said the huge list of mods youhave madeis detrimental to your truck, including and especially lowering a 2 wheel drive. Therefore, since you have asked what advice I have after running my suck (?) It would be this.......do not take 1baddodge's advice for gospel...you talk out of both sides of your mouth.
By the way, I own an'064x4 QC thunder road...arent you proud that it is bone stock?

Sincerely,
Boo Hoo

Well I would just like to say one thing about all of this. You know fighting on the internet is like the special olympics. Even if you win you are still retardid. Guys this is really stupid to fight about. People make mistakes and we forgive and forget. Boho drop it, Dodge ignore him, otherwise the group mod might have to get involved and you guys might not be able to post at all!
