im gettin my stereo and mounting hardware in the mail hopefully tomorrow. can anyone tell me how to take the trim off thats around the radio? or...more or less...can anyone tell me how to get the stock radio out? its an 03 2500 am/fm/cd stock.

...im usually in the CTD forum but i figgured this was more appropriate for the 3rd gen

if it is similar to the '04, then there is a screwleft of the glove box. find the "hook" that is part of the dash and you will see a screw back there. remove that screw. now, grab a hold of whatever edges you can and give a little tug. the whole face panel including climate control ***** will come off. the assembly is held into place by metal spring clips. do not pull too far though as there are wires that need to be disconnected first. all of the wires have different shape connectors so there is no need to worry about mix up at reassembly. good luck.
