Default front drive shaft angle, boot tearing

I have a 6" lift on my 2004 ram 1500 4x4. The front drive shaft uses a "CV" type joint rather than U-joints, thus the angle on this shaft causes the boot to tear as soon as a little dirt or sand gets in there. Any body else run into this? It really sucks because the boot is part of the drive line, have to replace the whole thing. Looking for a front drive shaft alternative...........

I had the same problem.
I had a custom front shaft made with the same overall design as the shafts on the 2500's. Mine is basic and no frills but works perfectly. I have seen a couple others that were nicer to look at and worked as well.
A good rack and axle shop should be able to help you out. I saved some money on mine by using both ends of the old shaft.
