Default one + for electronic throtle control...

I hate electronic throtle control, But I discoverd a little perk I'm getting used to.

My Ram is a 06 2500 reg cab 4x4 6sp 5.7 373 lts slip...

I have found that my mileage is awsome if I shift below 1500 Rpms, the coumputer automaticly raise's the Rpm up to 1500 if I shift in the 1200 range, I don't have to give the engine any more flue.

I have also found that if I don't raise the rpm past 1000 rpm, I can coast down hills at idle speed, My drive home has a lot of hills, abought 4 miles in total if I shift above a 1000 Rpm the coumputer holds that Rpm until I'm stopped, which bugs the hell out of me.

I'm also finding in 6th gear, at 1800 Rpm, my mileage is also improving, I have dual ex on the truck and basicly can tell by the ex sound how little or hard the engine is working in relation to how much pressure I have on the gas pedal, sorta of a poor man's MDS.

I have 11000 Km on the truck now and just got an average of 19.5 mpg ( over head ) driving from Edmonton back to Calgary, at 1800 Rpms in 6th gear.

When hauling or towing, mileage is not so great, but the power when shifting over 2000 Rpm or playing nascar racer is all thier, I just don't want to pay for it.
