I'm new to this forum stuff, but can't get answers anywhere else. I want to add an overhead console to my "05" 1500 and need to know without just tearing the headliner down if the wiring harness is already there. Help!!!!!!

 

Try pulling your driver's side A pillar and see if there is a cable tucked in there. That's where the pigtail for it would connect. I'm getting ready to do this to my wife's Liberty soon.

 

You could do that or you could just pull out the OH mirror clips. If you pull both of those done and reach up there, you should be able to feel a wire bundle up there. All you need for that is a pocket knife or a flat head screwdriver. If you wanna take of the drivers side A pillar, you will need a 10mm socket and an extension or just a deepwell.

 

If the pigtail isn't there for it, then he's gonna have to pull the a pillar anyway

 

I pulled my headliner off and there was no pigtail for a console. Mine is a regular cab and maybe those don't come equipped w/ that...not sure. Btw I installed a CB attached to my headliner....It looks pretty kick ***!!!

 

I have an 06 regular cab SLT and it came with the over head computer with the temp and mpg and miles per tank and trip odometer and all that goodness so I know it's possible.
