Default wiper cowling vibration

I have an 05 ram Q.C. Anyone else having a problem with the plastic wiper cowling
vibrating at highway speeds? It gets pretty annoying. I brought it to the dealer once
for it. All they did is drive it around the block & blame the vibration on something I had in the
back seat(which didn't move at all,by the way).

It seems to only be held in place by plastic push pins, so I don't see a way to tighten
it up at all.

no one else? this thing really "flutters" against the windshield in a strong wind, or going over
70 on the highways.

The cowlings are poorly formed and often have big gaps against the windshield. This lets leaves, snow, and other crud get down into the cavity that feeds the air intake for the HVAC. After awhile this fouls the A/C evaporator and results in in mold and other nasty stuff. In my case, I have a good 1/4 inch gap in some places.

In my case, I sealed the gap with black RTV. Once it dried, no more vibration, no more leaves. When I need to remove the cowling, a simple razor-blade scapper will do the trick.

This might work in your case...

thank you. I had something like that in mind, just wanted some input
and to see if others had the same problem. The dealer made it
seem like it was the first time he had heard anything like this. I found
that hard to believe.
