you have the 3.55's stock, i would say make the jump to either 4.10's or the big boy 4.56's

if you do alot of highway driving, go with the 4.10 gears, but in the city you will see a gain in MPG and more power with the 4.56's, im seriously considering the 4.56's for my truck, and i have the 4.7 motor as well

I put the 4.56's in my truck and they are a huge improvment.. With the truck lifted and 35's, I was averaging about 10mpg, with the 4.56's I avg. about 13.7mpg.. It has helped a lot with the stop and go as well. On the highway I can get upwards of 17-18mpg, which is bitchin' in a lifted RAM!

I"ll throw another vote in for 4.56's.....biggest bang for the buck so far. Better around town mpg and they'll definately whip you off the line On the highway with the overdrive the 3rd gen's have your RPM's shouldn't be that hight (at about 70mph I'm only at about 2,100 RPM's with 34" tires)......
