trouble code quesions

Default trouble code quesions

i had a remote start/alarm installed about a week ago and ever since then my check engine light comes on randomlly. i took the truck back and they reset the code and said it was fixed. i got hame and it came back on. i pulled the code and it came up p1687 then i looked it up and it said its no MIC BUS messages. now i need to know what that means. so if you could help that would be great. thanks

Are all your gauges and lights working when the code is on? MIC has to do with the instrument cluster, well I think.

A quick search and I found the following.

1. Disconnect you battery for a couple minutes and re-connect
2. Check all your fuses

Those the free things you can do. If the bozos who did this install had the battery connected and was cutting wires to install the alarm/starter they could have easily blown a fuse.
