Sparkplugs for '03 5.7 Hemi?
At 31,168 miles I changed my plugs to the Champion Platinums and they ran good for 10-12k miles an then started going down hill. Sometimes took 2-3 times to start the truck andit ran like crap at idle, would almost die. At 44,369 miles I wentwithNGK 5306 (Copper V-Powers). Truck runs much better now, granted I've only had these in for 4k miles. So stick with copper ones and you will be fine. Also Champion wouldn't honor any warrenty on the bad plugs I had.
Hmmmmm !!! here's one for you plug ghuru's.
I'm running LPG (propane injection) as a fuel, not a performance addon.
I need a spark plug similar to the original copper thats 2 points cooler running.
Can someone please specify a champion or ngk number thats not a fine tip platinum or irridium type ?
The propane news group I visit also states that one should not use fancy plugs in the hemi, even more so with propane fuel.
The originals are Champion RE14MCC4, need to points cooler.
Thanks.
