So factory equipped cars since 2004 are illegal?

 

TECHNICALLY yes. 2004 was the last legal year.

 

I have HID's in my dodge in my stock housing theyre 8000K's and look great. I baught them through Godfather Customs they ran $430 bucks but theyre great quality and easy to install contact john at godfather customs ext 4819 (18008981253)

 

I love my H.I.D.s lol I got them for $200 shipped like I said.

 

I thought the HID light law was in certain states only. I have heard of it in some states, but i live in texas and I have never heard of that being an issue. Is there a light kit for the 06's?

 

I dont know about everyone else, but my brights suck! I can barely tell the differnce between lows and brights! and here in Alaska its pretty dark most of the time, so i need more light! haha is HID the way to go? or is there anything else i could do? I know someone is gunna make fun of me for this but...what is HID? how is it differnt, and is that the light that looks almost blue or white?? just a newbie lookin for some info haha thanks

 

High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting technology replaces the filament of the light bulb with a capsule of gas. The light is from an arc discharge between two closely spaced electrodes sealed inside a small quartz glass bulb. To operate, they require ballasts, which supply proper voltage and control current. The amount of light produced is greater than a standard halogen bulb, while consuming less power, and more closely approximating the color temperature of natural daylight. That is how you can get all those diffrent colors....it is the gas in the bulb......i love mine there great escpecially when you get them for both the headlights and foglights.
