Default opening/closing issues with drivers side window

has anyone had issues with their window having difficulty opening and closing.

it would appear as if the glass is binding, rather than the motor getting tired. it starts quick, then about a third of the way down it slows right down, it is actually stopping now! then once i get past the first sticky spot, it seems to want to slow down / stop abotu 3 inches from the bottom. it does the exact same thing on the way up.

has anyone adjusted their glass, or cleaned and lubed the tracks? any tips or advice is greatly appreciated. i will be getting into it on the weekend.

My driver and front passenger windows do that. More so on the passenger side. Anyone got any ideas?

I would guess that the glass isn't binding but the tracks are getting dry, or have a bunch of crud in them. You'll have to pull the door panel and the inner plastic liner to get to the inside of the door. Then clean them up and lube them. I had the same problem on my old 93 Dak years ago. After I got them all cleaned up and lubed with teflon, they worked as good as or better than new. If you do it soon enough, you won't burn out the motor (how I learned on my wifes car). The new motors will cost you a new accessory---ya, they aren't cheap.

Just a heads up

[sm=exactly.gif]. Buy the teflon spray at the auto parts and spray along the canal of the window frame.

dirty dodge02,

lower your window and grab the top, see if it moves fore/aft. i checked my window that way and sure enough the glass itself is loose.

i will tackle that tomorrow at the shop.
i will take a look at the tracks with the door panel off, apply lube as necessary.

thanks for the feedback!
