My check engine light has come on every once in a while, but the truck ('03 Ram 5.7 Hemi) has run fine, so I didn't do much about it until now. I did the "turn key 3 times" to get the error code,a nd it comes up P1044. After looking online, this is what it says for that code:
P1044 D2–1 Circuit Low (A/T) or
P1044 Upshift Lamp Circuit (M/T) or
P1044 Shift Lamp Circuit High

I'm assuming A/T is for auto-transmission (which I have), and M/T is for a manual. In plain terms, ehat the hell does that mean? What's a D2-1 Circuit Low, or what's a Shift Lamp Circuit High?
