Default Battery keeps on dying

Has someone else had this problem? The problem is that my battery keeps dying. First I thought that the battery was old and it didn't have the cranking amps to start in the cold. So I bought a new battery. I let thetruck sit fora week while I went to DC. When I got back the battery was dead again. So I thought that maybe I left something on. So I recharged the battery. The next day the dead was dead again. So I thought it was the Infinity powered sub that I had installed at Curcuit City. So I when back to them and had them check everything again. They worked on my truck for an hour and a half. They said that everything was hooked up correctly, you know everything turned offas it should. So now I turn the radio, heater, lights, dimmer switch, and my radaroff everytimeI get out of my truck. And still every morning the truck is dead again. Oh, the alternator is working causeI drive the truck all day as soon as I jump it off inthe morning. Any advice would help. Thanks!!!

Take it to pep boys, autozone or the like they can check the alternator, remember, all the battery does is start the vehicle, the alternator provides the power for the operating system...you can crank up and remove the battery on a vehilce and drive all day, as long as you don't turn it off. Check the charging output from your alternator...I'll bet you'll find out it's bad.

It wouldn't hurt to get alt checked out,but the way you discribed it, sounds like it is working.Soif alt test comes back good. You must have a draw some where?(shorted wire or accessory) You willneedto connect anammeter to the battery and find outif any current is going thru it. Ifthere is,start pulling fuses one at a time to isolate the circuit. If you can make it that far. You might get lucky and find an obvious problem.Unless your really good at this kind of stuff yourmore than likely going to have to seek help from a Technician.

If that is the original battery from 02, replace it.

At least, have a load test done on it after its fully charged.

My 04 batt is starting to fail after a couple of days now too. Tomorrow, I get a new one.

I just changed my wife's battery in her 03 toy, same problem, but the load test said it was bad. It would take a full charge and the voltage was up, but under load, it failed.
