Squeaky noise

Default Squeaky noise

Whenever i put my truck in reverse and start backing up(without hitting the gas) it squeaks, Has anybody had this problem or can anybody tell me what it is.

clintmiester2, My neighbor has an 05 ram 1500, He had a squeak just as you described. I helped him findthe cause. It was his spare tire. It was not tight in its resting place. He just tightened up on the spare tire crank. I hope yours is as simple as his. Good Luck.

Might also possibly be a cab bolt that needs tightening. I had a squeak from a loose cab bolt, it was caused by the extra travel in the bushing.
