My 06 sometimes does not engage into reverse the first time. I dont know if Im not properly shifting when in a hurry or something but it seems like the last two months I've owned this truck it's happened about 10 times. It is in reverse on the dash but acts like it's in neutral. I then put it back to park and then to reverse again and it's fine.. Should I have it checked and be worried or am I just not shifting it properly into gear??

 

i think it's in between neutral and reverse. mine does it too. if i hit the shifter up a little, it goes in. i think it's mainly shifting too fast.

 

Funny you wrote about this, my 06 done this twice just recently. Im thinking it was cause i never came to acomplete stop. The whole truck vibrated then it peeled out backwards, not good i know. Got to take it easier

 

Alright well I guess we will all have to keep an eye on it to see if it gets worse.. at least I know it aint just me, lol!
