flowmaster 40+rollpan=???? HELP!!!!!

i got a 2003 with flowmaster 40. its in the shop gettin a roll pan right now i have dual 3 inch tips out the back now but i dont like how that looks with a roll pan. should i go with side exit or just turn em down???
