a 265 is probably on a 8" rim. Now if you dont mind a little bulging, you can go up to a 305 on an 8" rim but it will wear in the middle quicker than if you had a 9 or 10" rim.

Dont waste the 100. on the gap guards.

Black zip ties and black rubber bladder for a pond it all you need. And will cost 20.00.

Thats what I did. And looks great.

You can put up to a 12.50 on a 8" rim. So a 33-12.5-17 would be fine.

I think the number are 285-75-17 the 35 is 315-75-17.

So I can put on a 33" tire and my rim will allow it to be that wide. Thanks thats what I was hoping to here, I dont want to buy new rims when I put in my body lift. And also thanks for the tip about the gap guards mindeee, I will have to try that too. Thanks everyone

If you put a 12.50 tire on a 10" wide rim it will look kinda silly. I believe 4wheelparts online recommends the maximum tire width for an 8" rim as 12.50. If I keep my 05, I am going with a 3" body and 33s, I did the torsion bars a while back, but since I tow a 30ft long camper from time to time, I dont want to go up to 35s. That would probably throw my whole setup out of whack.

yeah, can you explain the whole torsion bar thing? I'd like a little more clearance too. and is it something I can do myself?

Yeah, the front suspension on the 02-05 (I didnt know they changed it in 06-07) 4x4s have an IFS front end. If you search my post for torsion bars I did a little write up on it. With pictures and all. It's pretty simple to do. Took me about 20 minutes with a floor jack.

I got about 1.5" with the bars turned 4 or 5 times, cant remember exactly its in the post...LOL. I just wanted to level the front end up some. I will try and find it then post a link to it here.

That should be it...
