what direction do the slotted rotors go ?
Just got slotted rotors for my 1500 and they are not marked left or right. Anyone istall them recently ? Can you tell me what direction should the top point of the slot should be facing ? when I say top point , I mean the end of the slot that almost touches the outter edge of the rotor. Where should it point to when at the 1 o'clock position, front of the truck -or- back of the truck ? I put them once on my Rx about 5 years ago and I don't remember and the car is gone. Need some input before install.
I had a set of Powerslot (http://www.powerslot.com ) in my old Dakota, if I recall correctly stamped on the rotor was "Left" and "Right"...
This picture I found via Google shows what I think it the common direction of the slots - http://content.performanceproducts.c...54/12K200E.jpg

when your sitting down, staring at the rotor, the slots should be going like / toward the front of the vehicle. So when the slot crosses the pad, its cleaning from the bottom towards the top, pushing the brake dust towards the top of the rotor.
quick answer guys, thanks for the input. Hopefully I'll get the chance to put them in this week when the weather finally gets above 32 degrees.
thats is up to what your experiance has been with them . I have installed many on all make and model cars that I've had and as long as you don't ride the crap out of them then ride into puddles of water , you won't have problems with warping. I don't race the truck and am looking for better bracking than stock , and beleave it or not it does make a differance in stoping power.
