Default choice of paint for rollpan

i plan on painting my steel rollpan for my truck myself, and was wondering if buying a ppg can of paint would make that mue of a difference than purchasing a cheaper brand of paint (OMNI). i figured that since i was only painting the rollpan, that the choice of paing was not that big of deal as long as i had to exact color.... what do you think??

Any red oxide primer for steel will work. You could probably get some spray cans at a Lowes or HomeDepot. Just ask someone for a primer for steel. Your main concern should be getting it clean. CLEAN. I've painted several parts on my Ram inside and out and Nason makes a less costly paint than DuPont. Mine is metallic and ran me $20 a quart.. Hope that helps.
