Burping The System After Installing A New Heater Core
Hello...
I have heard that after installing a new heater core, that you sometimes have to "burp" the system? I heard that there is a release screw somewhere under the hood to do this. Can anyone enlighten me about this? Also, do you do it with the engine running or off? Any help will be greatly appreciated...:0)
Thanks in advance.

I have never looked on my Ram, but if there is a bleeder screw they are usually near the thermostat housing. The bleeder screw is always at a high point, just start at the upper hose and follow all the way to the housing, if it exists you should find it that way.
burp??? maybe there's a more familiar term with that...
When the mechanic changed my dad's Mercedes heater core... it wasn't burped or something...
