I have a 2007 Ram 1500 Laramie with the 5.7 Hemi. I noticed when I come to a stop there is kind of a hum noise the truck makes. Perhaps it brake noise or something else. I wish I could describe the sound better for you guys but I dont know how I could.
I am going to bring it to the dealer, but I would like to know if anyone else has had similar issues and what it ended up being.

 

a hummm ?? Like a woman in heat? What kind of hum? A motorized hum, a rubbing hum, or a sound like the highway makes with offroad tires?

lots of hums in vehicles.

 

well since you put it that way, i guess its more like the off road tire hum... but this sound is not coming from the tires... if that makes any sense

its your brakes. :-)

chances are the pads dont have anti-squeel compound on the back, its a 5 minute fix.
