Almost all the articles I have read on Hemi Ram 0-60 times, as posted by professional "testers" with electronic timing equipment, seem to reveal times in the low 7 second range. Some have indicated a 0-60 time as highas the low 9 seconds. What you get will be dependent upon, to a large degree, what type of Ram you are running. 2 door stock cab vs. quad cab vs. mega cab? 2 wheel drive vs. 4 wheel drive? Any time below 7 seconds is pretty unusual.

also, any time you are trying to achieve the quickest time in a vehicle, it ALL depends on available traction. Like Don said, weight plays a big factor as its easier to get 4500lbs to 60 than it is to get 6000lbs. Even with the best electronic equipment, if traction isnt there, then time suffers.

A number of other factors effect acceleration but to make a simple question to your simple answer, to achieve 0-60 in 6.5 seconds with 345hp and using a 3.92 gear would need to be done in a standard cab 2WD with -0- wheelspin. I am talking not even so much as a squeak out of the rear tires. A WOT launch on a drag radial would achieve this.

But, right from the showroom floor, your looking at low to mid 7's.

nope, it dont sound weak. But a better test might be 20-80 instead of 0-60. That way there is no traction deficit.
