If your reason for flares is to keep mud off of the side of the truck then yes i agree. The only reason i have these wheels instead of the stock off road package wheels is because the backspacing was required in order NOT to rub.
That being said, they just barely stick out. It is far frome the roller skate look you see on alot of trucks.
12.5 inches wide is ideal in my opinion. You don't have the pizza cutter look of stock width and you don't get the roller skate look of 15 inches and up.

yep, I agree with the fact they are a great wheel and suit the truck with the only size the rims comes in. I'm just saying that I have seen people not happy with 17x9 rims after they see the damage it makes to your step bars andbody paint without thinking that they needed flares in the first place. If your not worried about that, no problems.

I have seen plenty of flares for reasonable prices, but if u want them painted bout how much do u think that would cost?
