Default Brake controler

Hey fellas, what is everybody using for a trailer brake controler? I need to get on ASAP on my 04 Hemi 1500 Ram, just wanted to see what everybody was using. Any input on this would be great... thanks, KH

I just got a brake controller myself. How easy is it to install? Is it like plug and play? My truck came with the towing package, does that change anything?

If I remember correctly, all rams that come with the tow package have the connecting wires taped under the dash on the driver side which you then connect to your controller.

Well that's sweet then, I'll have to look. I got a Tekonsha Prodigy controller which I've heard is one of the better ones? Only problem is I hadn't used my trailer much this winter and the drums are somehow stuck shut. I'm assuming they've rusted? My trailer is only 1 yr. old now, so I'm sort of upset.

Get a Prodigy brake controller from Camping World. They are about 100.00 bucks and better than the timed controllers. You can get them on-line from Camping World. You won't regret the 100.00 bucks for the Prodigy if you used the timed based controllers before.

yes, the prodigy is the best... I realy like mine... you wont be sorry...
I don't know where everyone else is mounting them, but I hate where the dealer put mine.
I've got longer legs, so my knee's are pretty high, and I've got to put my seat back further than I'd like, just to keep my knee from smacking it.
