Well, first off I would buy a car, but if I could not do that, I would (sadly) have to say I would go with a toyota or a honda SUV (not the fj cruiser or ridgeline though[:'(]) They have quality way above ford and gm (and some might even be above dodge[:-]) but they still wouldnt be my first choice.
