Default Intake/Exhaust for 07' Ram 1500 w/Hemi

This might have been talked about on here, and I've seen the topic come up on a few other discussion boards, but there never seems to be any final answer. I was wondering if anyone knows of a company that makes an exhaust system, or an intake system that doesn't sound horrible when the MDS kicks in on the Hemi?

If anyone has an answer to this, please post in here. I know a few people who have gone back to stock after changing their system over because it sounded horrible when the MDS was on.

Thanks in advance and I apologize if this is a repost or there was an answer somewhere else. I did a search and couldn't find a definitive answer.

Best solution I've heard of thus far is installing an electric cutout on the stock system. Loud and extra power/mileage when it's open, quiet as stock when it's closed. By the way tow/haul and OD off disable mds, so if you don't mind cruising around in tow/haul all day, any exhaust will sound good.

ditch the last resonator, get an Aero turbine AT3030 muffler and have that welded in place of the normal muffler. I have that on my 06 with mds and it sounds fine when the mds kicks in. I would explain more and get into it but I have explained this a million times to people so by doing some searching you can find some more info on it on posts made by me.

Thanks for the tip. I'll search by posts made by you and hopefully I can get some answers. I was hoping I could get a full system instead of cutting parts out etc...

What about the new Aero 3030xl muffler, the website states ........Designed to give your Truck or SUV an incredible performance increase while maintaining a tone that is similar to stock sound levels. The Aero Turbine XL Series 3030XL incorporates a resonator with the technology of the Aero Turbine 3030 into one unit.

MDS is awesome! I get great mileage!

Can hardly tell when it's activated.. if you don't like the fact that the exhaust isn't growling ALL the time, then stay on the gas, or hit the tow/haul button on the shifter. But that's stupid... Why over rev the truck if you don't have to?

I love my Magnaflow cat back. I would just with a small muffler next time. I believe I have the 22" long model, I'd get the 18" one. And maybe dump it in front of the rear tire, versus the stock position.
