Default chip for horsepower ?

money is no object
I have a 02 qc 4x4 long bed 4.7 ram 1500 auto trans
I want a chip to add power to the truck I have a cold air intakeon the truck so far and flowmaster 40 series muffler on the stock tailpipe
I really would like one that is programable, is there such a chip for my truck ?
what gains could I expect from such a mod ?
is it worth the trouble and $$$
and will I see a real difference in power mileage and so on ?
thanks

I know that Jet Performance makes a chip for your engine for approx. $200 - $300. Had a Stage 2 in my Dakota with the 4.7, all you will need is a themostat swap, looks like you have everything else. Look at Superchips to see if the have a programmer for your engine

i would not waste the money on a jet chip but superchips made a programmer for the 03 year model 4.7s and i would assume they made a programmer for the 02 models also.

I got my superchip programmer for my o3 4.7, it made a huge diffrence on 91 octane tuning! It is good for trucks 98-03. I got mine at www.jtsperformance.com Mention the Dodge forum in the check out and they will refund you like 20 bucks on this product. In April I here the price of all superchips products is going up big time.

the same programmer will not work on all 98-03 model trucks. each year the computer is different. thats why there was a problem with the superchips for the 07 year models at first.

I beg to differ the 3715 will work for all of those, keep in mind this is the max micro tuner, not the flashpaq

i dont see how that would work, since the computers on those trucks are going to be very different, especially since the engines are different between the 98,99, 2000, and 01 year models, and the 02-03 year models. you very well could be right about it, but i just dont see how it would work.

Superchips claims in increase of about 20hp 15ftlbs torq on the performance setting. I believe it, it made a huge diffrence in my power and accelaration. A programmer is allot more fun to drive with than an exauhst or cool air intake.
