Thanks Helo and Dean. I can't remember if my superchips adjusts shift points or not.....I have an 03.

Max00racer, keep an eye on your filter when using the scoop. I just cleaned my filter not too long ago and after a year that scoop dumps a lot of road crap right on the filter. At least I know it works well....

will do, maybe ill try to bodge some kind of screen onto the duct thats fine but still lets a lot of air through. Ya know like sliding door screen or something. But im pretty sure it has to chance to dust and that crap.

well, I can't say much for the benefits. First off I set it up for "performance towing" or whatever it was....the middle or low one. I always have tools with me and quite often a load of materials, so I figured I would go a little conservative. I think I read somewhere that the max performance setting doesn't like to tow/carry stuff. Either that or someone here mentioned it would be bad for the engine. I also didn't have superchips in very long. I decided to pull itcause I found out with intake and headers there was a chance of running lean.

However, I am going to read through it all again pretty soon cause I'm going on the dyno this thurs. I just filled up my tank with 93. I'm gonna do one or two pulls w/o superchips and then two with. In the end will it be worth a few hundred bucks? We'll see, but I'mnot hurtingcause I only payed 150 for mine off of ebay.

I didn't to the TCM mod. What is that?

its the torque managment in the tranny. it is wat keeps our shifts really soft in the higher rpms. for an 03 you pull a certain wire out on the tranny control modual and bingo. she'll squeal the tires from first to second. ive had the mod for close to 15000 miles now and no ill affect. theres a huge write up me and silverram tracked down a while back. search for it and there will also be picks as well!
