I tried to install my new Superchips Flashpaq (#3815) without success. It would not detect the ignition being on. Has anyone experienced this and know what the problem is? My vehicle is a 2005 Ram Power Wagon with the automoatic. Thanks in advance!

 

Might want to try making sure all of your accessories are off. (radio, stuff plugged into to power ports). I've seen the superchips give errors because too many auxillary things were running.

 

Yeah, I read that part in the instructions. I made sure that everything was off and unplugged. I will quadruple check that again and try turning off the overhead console. Thanks for the quick reply!

 

I tried it again, with the overhead console off... still did not work.

 

did you update the flashpaq on the website? doors should be closed as well as all things being shut off. the key should be on the last click before the truck would start.

other then that i would call superchips and give them an ear full. these things are not cheap, and they should work!

 

No, I did not update it. I figured that it should have all the latest updates in it already since it was brand new.

I ended up calling Superchips technical support. They were not familiar with the code and suggested that I return it to the place of purchase for an exchange.

I will just have to wait longer now to make this modification. What a drag.
