I'm thinking of getting a superchips flashpack for my Hemi. I know running super unleaded is the way to go, BUT I want to know what the horsepower gainsyou getwith regular unleaded. If you have a flashpack and have run it on regular unleaded, did you notice and power gains? And has anyone Dynoed the flashpack with regular unleaded?

One last question. Do I need to run Super unleaded in the towing mode?

I've run all three modes, and the shifting performance increase is noticeable in all three. I have not dyno'd any of them though. The 91 performance tune with 93 octane fuel is noticeable faster than the 87 tune from what I can tell. I think superchips recommends that you use premium fuel with the tow performance tune.

 

Do you notice any difference between no flaspack and economy setting?

 

You need the higher 91 or 93 octane for either of the Performance or Tow Settings... I highly recommend the superchips, even using it with the 87 octane it runs faster (changed WOT shift points and rev limiters).

 

There is a definate difference. I ahve only used performance setting once on my Flashpaq. On economy setting I am still a lot fast than almost every truck I step up too. there is a lot less torque convertor lag from the start. you will notice a very impressive difference. Get a cai as well.
