Well, felt that sick feeling of being stuck for the first time in the Dodge today (been there before with Fords...).

Attempted to go around a large truck on my street (small residential street). There are snow drifts on each side of the street roughly 3 feet of snow. In order to get around the truck, I had to put the right 2 tires into the snow drift. Put it in 4-high, got going about 8 mph or so and figured if I keep my momentum going I have no problems.

Well, I had problems. She made it about half-way the distance I needed to go, then right two tires spinning in the snow, the left two that were on pavement not getting a lick of torque. Stuck.

Neutral, 4-low. Same thing. Stuck.

Very embarrassing.

The two guys who were driving the truck turned out to be good sam's, and pushed like mad men with me rocking back and forth in 4-low to get it out, which it did of course eventually.

But oh what a sick feeling to have 2 tires and dry, clean, blacktop and have your truck unable to move an inch without outside help.

I need LSD or lockers or something!!!

 

Sorry to hear that, but remember even tanks get stuck.

 

haha i definantly call that stuck. Why do automakes have to be bums and not make the diffs lock in 4-lo...thats when you really need it. Guess they just want you to buy the trx-4 package so god forbid you had to drive over a snowbank like once a year or so haha.

 

If you dont get stuck ever then you are not a real 4 wheeler. That is half the fun. So far the dodge has not gotten me stuck but sure one day it will as I am quite adventurous.
