I replaced the mopar air filter that came with my 06 2500 Ram 5.7 with a Fram filter. The Fram filteris thicker and I had to take the filter cover and air intake into the TBI to get the filter cover back on...and than with a screw driver and plyers and a hell of a lot effort, I was finaly ableto lift the metal tabs up and over the filter cover.

I wounder why Chrysler decided that 6.6 Lt is better than a full 7 Lt of oil in the crank case when you have to buy 7 lt of oil for the 5.7, I switched to mobil one and noticed a + improvement in performance, the 5.7 is not as loud at idle and the hemi is more willing to Rev.

Lately I have been asking my self how Chrysler could improve the Ram, My drivers seat track is sticking again, My tailgate will not stay latched in cold wheathier and the sun visors do little to block out the sun, due to the fact thiers no factery tint in the viosr area of the whind shield.

Factery radio is garbage, and I still do not like the white faced gages. And the paint seems to attrack chips...

Milage is improving, the only mods I have made was dual ex and I have been most impressed with the mecanics of my 2500 Ram, it is 100% dependable and worked every day.

Unlike my last 04 F-150, My Ram has not had a drivetrian or mecanicalwarenty issue and is the best work truck I have ever owned.

I also failed to consider that the Rams need more maintence than the othier two domostic trucks on the market, But oh well, a lot of the maintance issues I can deal with my self, But I'm dreading the day when I change out the spark plugs.

All in All, I'm still impressed with my Ram SLT 2500, on march 12, 06, I put in the factery order and in June 07, My truck will be one year old.

 

Don't forget the AC.

 

Ac work's great, but it still is winter, Ie march...my truck is a reg cab..
