there is really no "best." it is what you prefer. i prfere Eclipse, Alpine, Pioneer, and Kenwood. yeah, the more "popular" brands. but there are other real good in-dash LCD's out there. you just gotta find them. Nakamichi (or something like that) is real good too. my friend has a Dula, it is real nice and he has no problems. another friend has a Jensen, same thing... nice and durable. my mom has a Pioneer AVIC-N2, i like it. its real nice too. its all what you prefer.

I've had a few Jenson head units in the past, they seem to be a great unit till they just die on you way sooner than they should. I wouldn't recommend them. As far as others I've found for the most part you get what you pay for with this stuff. You can cheat that rule by finding a good unit cheap on ebay (just make sure you're getting the one you think you are) but so far it's held for me.

I'm looking at this(click) one. I'm gonna replace my radio bezel with one that allows for the factory nav. I'm not too big on the entirely motorized screens, just seems like there is a lot chances for that screen to break and not come out anymore. The one I linked to is flush mounted and even though it's motorized, it is just a tilt motor that allows for 6 different tilt positions and moves the screen enough to get a disc in there. Although, you do have to make sure whatever you get will work with your application. I don't know what year truck yours is and I don't know much about different sized stereos foryears other than '06. This way may just not work for you, in which case I would go with the normal DIN sized flipout screens.

Now I just gotta save up and do it. I just started putting in my amp and subs last night, but didn't finish because I need to add a line level converter and I ran out of sunlight. Sure would be nice to not have to add the converter, but, work with what ya got.
