the wing on the daytona looks sick! i'd def. keep it. i hope your dayt is burnt oj and the black daytona stripes. thats a sick looking rig! lol. and well, i guess you have no worries for the 4x2 and yeah... the truck will be a Home Depot Magnet. lol.

12k miles is LOOOOWWW! well, its a 2 year truck (24 months) and usually, people put 1-2k miles a month. now thats a years worth of driving on a 2 year old car. get it! what does it include exactly? you got a site where you saw it or what?

Ok, I test drove both daytonas on the lot. They're both '05 QC's, one silver, one gomango.
I did an intial inspection on the gomango and noticed a TON wrong with it from the start, without even turning it on. Here's a list off the top of my head..

1) the front spoiler lip wasn't there. In fact, it looked like a completely different front clip below the bumper. Think normal 1500.
2) The sideskirting around the exhaust and the bottom of the bed wasn't there!
3) Wasn't the stock borla exhaust. Something else, not sure. Sounded good when i got on it though. Had a bit of drone to it though. It side exited with twin tips like the stocker
4) There was a trailer plug adapter in the back bumper (you flip it up and there's 4 or 5 prongs)
5) The battery was dead, lol..had to be jumped
6) the ignition cylander looked beat up. More so than it should have been with 15k (not 10k like i thought)
7) I saw a bad for "infinity" audio on the door i think. Was that even an option?
8) It was missing the rear wing

Needless to say, a lot of bad vibes with this one. But damn, did I want a qc daytona in that color bad!

So for giggles, I wanted to ride in what appeared to be a stock daytona with 8k miles. It was silver though. NOT the color i want. Great ride, sounded good, more subdued than the gomango, but to be expected. Had what appeared to be every upgraded option in the interior (nice deck radio, power seats, etc).

Driving that one made me regret driving the first one. I would have taken home the silver one ONLY if it had been the gomango color!

Time to keep searching, that's all I guess.

Get a truck that is small but can fit big engine it beef it up paint the color you love install all the nice aftermarket stuff you want on it and you will know your vehicle inside and out and inthe end you will be happy got stuck get winch still stuck get floor jack and some boards does trick lol. I can tell you must not have done any mods on vehicles much cause with internet there is so much stuff you can do. I t takes time but its nice feeling in the end.

Nah man, i've done plenty of mods. My background is in jeeps, so i'm very familiar about suspension systems for newer wranglers and also the older ones (it was a bitch to do a coil over on my cj7). So i'm not against modding at all, but i just wanted to get into a fairly good priced daytona that hasn't been hacked apart previously.

I trust my mod skills, not the other guys. But i hear ya, we're on the same page

Put me down for the vote of Daytona - wing looks great Daytona w/wing... not so much. Good lucking truck either way. You'll definitely enjoy it. Too bad about the TJ, I have a CJ7 that I am looking forward to toying with at some point here.

I drive a reg. cab. silver Daytona and love it. Only prob. was the sucky brakes. DC wouldn't warranty them when rotors failed at just 16,000 miles. I took care of that by installing new Brembo brakes, and new 3-piston calipers. I love my trk. other than what I mentioned. Loove the wing. Long live Pentastar!!!!

Brakes, huh? Hmm..might need to look at that. Did any of them come with a sun roof as an option?
