Default Possible 1500 HEMI Purchase

Hey all,

I just registered for the site because I am looking into purchasing a Ram 1500 Quad Cab. In my area, they are offering $5,000 in rebates and a free Hemi for the 1500. Probably going to go after work today or tomorrow and take a look at one.

Do you guys have any advice? Things to avoid? Things I should definitely get? I have read through the site for the past couple hours and found some good information. Any info you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Drew

Where are you located? I know my local dodge dealer is offering $10K off msrp onevery dodge ram on the lot. What year are you looking at? Maybe try to find an 06 left over and try to get a better deal but 5K off and a free hemi upgrade is not a bad price, That's about what mine was.

I am located in Western PA. Well, the $10k off MSRP is what I am going to be going in to get. $5k rebate + $1k for the HEMI + dealer discount, which could easily be $3-4K, so that'd be around $10k. I am looking to get a brand new one. Tried looking around my area and didn't see any 06 left overs. I did a search on eBay just to see what was there ... and found one that stickered at $36,xxx with a Buy-It-Now of $25,200 + tax/plates/etc. So, I found one at a local dealer for $35,xxx, so I think I am going to go look at it and use that one as an example of what is out there and see what they'll do for me.

I believe the special offer only applies to 1500's
but the 2500 Ram is a much better vehicle
with better brakes, better transmission choices, better resale, etc
with the only downsides 123 lbs more weight and a stiffer ride.
The ride can be adjusted with different front springs and taking a leaf out of the rea.

hey, there is a catch... the "free HEMI upgrade" is only if the truck has the exact same trim level as a 4.7L or a 3.7L... thats the only way you get that "free HEMI." oh, and it's only for 07 models... either way, I'd go straight to the HEMI's anyways. you can EASILY get 10k off of them. i have a $40k truck i got for $30k... dont make it seem like you really want the truck, you know what i mean? play it kool. when they work out the payment, see if they can give you the 84 month plan like i have... its gonna cost a lot less and stuff per month, but you can always pay more ach month if you want to try to pay it off quicker and pay less interest. but yeah, we jsut got our 07 Laramie 3 weeks ago and we absolutely love it!!

whats you down payment? and are you gonna trade in? we traded in our 06 ram for this 07 ram so thats why we got a good payment plan.

Thanks all for your input. But, after research and looking at the truck, I think I am going to save my money a little longer and go with a CTD.
