2007 Ram vibration
I have a vibrating 06 1500 too! Mine occurs in 4wd under power, Dodge is calling it a launch shudder. I have postedalotabout my continued discussions with Dodge about my truck. Here is a link. Apparently the "Dodge Forum" sitewon't allow me to post a link to the "Dodge Talk" site, so just replace the ***** in the link with "dodge talk" without the space.

I put a magnaflow muffler and K&N on my 07 Ram and I now notice more the drop in RPM and drop to MDS more than before. It is in the RPM and speed ranges mentioned in the other posts. I notice it more from the sound now and have to kick it in more to get the RPM's up. The dealer told me it was "normal" for the RAM, but sounds like it is the MDS that's the issue. If I take it out of OD it is better.
If you have a 2006-2007 4x4 Ram with the vibration problem
and are a bit 'adventurous'
you might think about removing your rear driveshaft
and driving around in front wheel drive only
to see if your vibration goes away.
Since the speed sensor above the 'tone wheel' in the rear differential provides the signal to the speedometer/odometer
...the speedo probably won't work driving like this
and the CEL (check engine light) may come on,
but a test like this might provide a lot more information
about where the vibration is coming from.
PS: mark all the shaft ends and U joints with a punch or permanent market so you can put it back EXACTLY lined up like it was from the factory.

im pretty sure this is due to the MDS seeing that everyone complaining about this for the most part has (aftermarket or custom) exhaust. i never noticed a vibration or change in rpm before i got my aftermarket exhaust put on my truck. the vibration is most likely a sound or noise vibration from the exhaust when the MDS kicks in and out. since you can hear the change in exhaust tone, it draws your complete attention to it and makes you think its something wrong with the truck. anyway thats my 2 cents.
After 1 week at the dealer, my truck had come back to me vibration free. The problem was a "chunk" missing out of the gears. They replaced the gears in the rear end. About the next day (45 min driving time since the new gears 55 miles) I was going about 35 mph cruise control on, slight incline, slight accelaration. A loud shudder happened. I believe that the gear broke again as upon going back to 55+ the vibration is returning. I am going to wait a couple of weeks for it to get worse than bring it back to the dealer. It sure was nice going 60 mph for a bit, felt like a whole different truck.

I'm really not liking righting this post because it makes me hurt so much thinking that eaither the 2007 RAM Hemi model has beenfixed of this so called MDS vibration problem or you people with the after market exhausts had no idea what you were getting yourself into before you decided on that upgrade.
I installeda K&N 77 series cold air intake anda Flowmaster 50 series catback exhaust system and it sounds abosolutly amazing at any speed, weather I gas it or cruise there is no abnormal sounds other then the roar of a 5.7 V8 Hemi engine. If you are lookingfor power andbadassnessgo and do this upgrade right away but if you are not ready for the sound or these issues you are having with the MDS leave in your stock muffler and intake and good luck.
Not to mention people talking about driving with the O/D off, you should be doing that anyways in the city. Overdrive takes away from your power and performance at lowend speed so I really dont see how people find it a hassel to do this to avoid this MDS problem.

My next question to Dodge shall be. . . Why in the world does this keep happening???? I do not run the truck hard. The truck only has 2500 miles on it. There has to be another internal problem that they are overlooking. It took them 5 working days to find it in the first place. They went through drive shaft, exhaust, then finally into the rear end. At least they gave me a rental. Every time I am going less than 40mph on slight incline, slight accelaration I get this shudder from the rear of the truck. Almost like the gears are not catching. It is getting more and more frequent. I had an old Ranger that did the same thing (I sold that). Anyone have any input???
